2025 Summer Series! Quilombo Listening Sessions

Chicago Quilombo is a Black young adult-led organization that is building third spaces and housing opportunities to South Shore. Please join us for our new Summer Series of our Listening Sessions, where we cultivate what the Quilombo Community Center will look like and feel like with South Shore residents! 

All sessions will be held at different South Shore small businesses and community-organizations, and will be from 2-4pm. Small bites and refreshments will be served.

Explore what stable, supportive housing means to South Shore's Black young adults, women and gender non-conforming folx. This space is intended to be for women and femme-identified people only.

The Quarry Chi at 2423 E 75th St., Chicago, IL

Consider how Quilombo can serve as an economic hub tthat sustains young adults who are budding entrepreneurs and creating resources and activities in South Shore, and addresses food insecurity.
